Reducing the sagging eyelids

botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid injections for the eyelids and blepharoplasty

With age, the skin develops a sagging appearance, because tissues lose firmness and elasticity. Aging is not the only cause of skin slackening, this can also occur after taking up too much weight or loosing weight too fast and too frequently.

The skin slackening generally occurs along with a volume loss in several face areas.

Sagging skin mostly affects the eyelid area, because the skin is thin and fragile.

In order to fight drooping eyelids, restore the volume and give the eye area a more youthful look, two procedures can be used, one non-surgical and the other one surgical :

botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid injections in the eyelids : combining botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid will reshape and revolumize the eyelids, while simultaneously lifting the eyebrow.

The entire eye area will benefit from this rejuvenating action.
Injections can be a first step before surgery.

Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) consists in removing excess skin and fat bulges and even reducing eye wrinkles.
